From the Facebook but posted here for the records:

10 Albums Challenge Day 7 … supposed to be “… an album cover that greatly influenced your taste in music. No explanations, no reviews …” But, more words …

I went to York U to be in film production. The mistake I made was that I packed along my guitar. Am I unfocused? Am I divided between two loves? Film? Music? Who has time for both??!!! Anyway, I couldn’t afford film stock so … I dug into music, eventually dropping out of film school to be in a rock band with my big brother from another mother, Marqus. He got me into Pearl Jam. We made records similar to this No Code one, in this band called “WOODROW”. I still think the CD (and cassette!!!) we made together back then was great – dated production, but the songs we composed together still stick with me. That and these were the days I dyed my hair bleach blond to be a more grunge-rock dude. (Sadly, can’t find any photos)

When I listen to these Pearl Jam records I’m mostly reminded of the books Marqus got me into at the time by TM McNally, Rick Bass, and Tim O’Brien. Still there on my shelf.

And … some audio proof below of the Pearl Jam inspiration for the songs Marqus and I wrote back in the WOODROW days!
